"Please." It was the only word I had left, no actions to match. A kiss on his cheek and my head to his shoulder were all I could do now. He had my heart, he had me.

"You're so beautiful," I whispered into his ear, humming the tune of the song. Humming. Humming. I hadn't done that in a while.

Sadly, I smiled when his humming reached my ears. It was nice to hear something so familiar yet so uncommon once more. I knew we weren't alright, but we were close enough.

I caught myself giggling as I realized what I was doing. "Never could help breaking into song."

Pushing back his hair, I grinned. "It's wonderful." I laughed, stealing a quick but tender kiss from his lips.

I half snickered even as I kissed him back. "I'm really, really not that talented."

"You're talented, to say the least." I whispered straight into his ear. Holding him tight, I kissed him lightly.

I pulled back, more violently than I meant to, and stared straight into his eyes. Pleading. "Sing?"

"Do I have to?" I whined, before seeing his eyes. I backed away slightly before looking away, his stare made me feel guilty. I don't sing on demand.

"Fine," I rolled my eyes, leaning my head onto his shoulder. Closing the gap between us. "I mean, yours know you're better, right?"

"We're equal. You know it." I cooed, kissing his forehead. I wrapped my arms around him as I sang quietly. Nothing special, nonsense, but singing nonetheless.

I almost fell asleep in his arms like this. Listening to his voice humming in my ear. It was the most perfect moment I could remember.

I stretched my legs out after a while, opening my eyes to try and focus on his face in the darkness. "William?" I questioned the black cupboard, hoping his voice would appear when my eyes couldn't find him.

"Mmm," I murmured. Rolled and squirmed. Giggled when he growned.

I tickled William's stomach in return for his squirming. "So cute when you're like this." I noted aloud, smiling gently in the darkness to him.
