Spencer stood awkwardly at the bus stop, biting his lip and running a hand through his hair as the bus pulled up. It was his first day at this new school, having just transferred from a different state. It was strange. He had previously been a private school kid, uniforms and all, but after that incident a few weeks ago, well, no self-respecting private school wanted him. The bus came to a noisy stop and the doors hissed open. He could already feel the eyes on him, judging his every move. With a deep breath, he stepped on, everyone falling silent, giving the new kid a good look before the noise of the bus reined supreme once more. He wandered down the isle, looking for a seat. There were more than a few spare, but every time he opened his mouth to ask to sit next to someone, they would rudely shove their bag on to the chair. It looked as if he would have to stand for the rest of the journey when he approached the last unoccupied seat. He looked questioningly at the lad in the window seat. "Can I sit here?" Spencer asked. Jump in if you like. Trying to get my footing, and I thought this would be the best place/story to start.

William rolled his eyes and sighed, "sure, whatever." It wasn't until after he spoke that he glanced up at the child. William was like that; always a few steps behind everyone else, but making it look deliberate. As he glanced up, he bit his tongue, cursing his rash words.

Spencer's eyebrows raised slightly at the uncaring affirmative. He shouldn't've expected any different. He was new after all, and he needed to prove himself before anything would happen. "Thanks," he said to the guy before hesitantly sitting in the seat.

William gave him a once over, staring up and down the kid before he decided that yes, he was certain. This kid was worth a shot. "What's your name?"

He looked up from his hands and at the teen beside him. "Spencer. Spencer Smith. Yours?"

"Bill Beckett," he replied with a smug smile. "So you're the new kid, huh?"

"Oh, you're just noticing?" Spencer replied with half a smirk. "Yeah, I transferred from a few states over. Stuff happened, etcetera, etcetera. Now I'm here."

"I don't tend to notice people until I need to," William told him. "I generally leave it to them to notice me." He admired Spencer's attitude, finding him easy enough to talk to.

"Well, I'm glad you've deemed me worthy of your attention!" Spencer laughed. "What do you do around here for fun?" He asked. "I've only been in town for a few days, and they've been spent unpacking everything." Bill seemed like a nice guy so far.

"Do? Eachother," William laughed. "You're welcome to come along to a party some time, but really, they all turn into drunken whorefests. It sucks when I'm left without my boyfriend." William nodded to the guy a few seats ahead, the purple hood, who was intensely focused on a seperate conversation.
